WELCOME TO KAALUND YARNS

Kaalund Yarns is a boutique mini mill spinning yarn in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Australia.  We specialise in spinning Australian wool and alpaca and produce beautiful and unusual natural yarns.  In our mini mill many processes are completed or finished by hand creating truly beautiful and unique yarn.

Our mill contains a collection of both high-tech engineered machinery and semi-mechanical equipment which allows us to maintain an excellent quality of finished product.  From fleece preparation and hand dying to artist like blending of colours, our hands-on approach ensures the fibre is spun into unique and irresistible skeins of luxury yarn.  For our handspun range we choose to spin the fibre on spinning wheels by hand, in house in our fibre mill to ensure we keep the beautiful nuances of this yarn.  Sometimes our mini mill spun range of products will incorporate hand finishing techniques to add layers of colours and textures.
